Battlefield

We are seeing a few players unable to download the necessary Multiplayer DLC files on Steam. For those affected, please try the following steps:

• Close Battlefield 6
• Navigate to the Battlefield 6 Store page.
• Click on Play Game, which will trigger additional DLC to be downloaded
• Once the game launches, you should see all Multiplayer playlists in-game

Enjoy!

We are aware of an issue preventing PlayStation 5 Pro players from progressing beyond the opening cutscene of the first chapter in the Battlefield 6 Campaign.

Thank you for your reports, the team is actively investigating the cause and we will follow-up with next steps once available.

@role-name

The Battlefield 6 Free Trial on Steam is now available, and all players should be able to download the multiplayer files and jump into the game during the free period until October 19, 2026, 17:00 UTC.

We apologize for the delay for those who were affected by this. Thanks for playing!

We are tracking reports that players on Steam are currently unable to access the full Battlefield 6 Free Trial. Our teams are actively investigating the issue to get everyone into the action as quickly as possible. We will share further updates as soon as more information is confirmed. Thanks for your patience while we work through this.

Following the launch of Season 5, backend configuration changes resulted in an unintended issue affecting XP earn rates across modes and hardware progression (such as weapons).

These backend changes have now been reverted, and our team is actively monitoring telemetry to ensure earn rates return to intended levels across all experiences.

Thank you for your patience and reports while we continue to track this.

We have deployed a hotfix to resolve an issue that could cause audio to cut out until the game is restarted.

We just rolled out backend changes to bring the small modes (KOTH/TDM) playlist back online. Additionally, we corrected the required players needed to start TDM on Vegas Strip: Castle Road. We appreciate your patience.

We have temporarily disabled the Underslung Mount Underbarrel on the Mk24 Assault Rifle while we resolve an unintended interaction. We'll provide an update once the attachment is re-enabled.
